Broadcast TechFest leads the way
The East On Media Solutions team were delighted to attend Broadcast TechFest’s Forum 2023 as sponsors. This year’s Post Production event was held at the BFI Southbank and was a great opportunity to learn from the biggest names in the industry about current market challenges and opportunities.
We discussed the impact of the writers’ strike on this year’s very busy marketplace, the outlook for projects in the first half of 2024 and capacity issues for the latter part of next year – plus the differences in the approach of businesses outside of London and within the capital.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been a Tech event without a discussion about how AI will affect the make up of teams and workload, with the consensus being that the new “normal” will be different but that we will still need our talented and creative people.
This year’s event was sold out, with a long waiting list for tickets – a testimony to how influential TechFest is. We’re already looking forward to 2024’s event!
