Living our Values
It feels like every business today shouts about their values and credentials and we thought that we should take a step back and think about whether we really do what we say. Do we live up to the values that we advocate? Our recent Annual Business Review felt like a great time to ask this… Here’s what we found:
Partnerships
From our flexible working area within a sustainable Workspace® building to planting a tree for each video meeting we hold (instead of travelling) and from our quality and sustainability- focused ISO certificates to our national roster of skilled trades, we are always looking for more businesses to partner with because, simply put, for us, partnerships work brilliantly!
Safety
We’ve built a comprehensive collection of H&S documentation across the business, which complements our SafeContractor and SMAS certifications and we now have 2 SMSTS-qualified team members – so we are definitely walking the walk and talking the talk…
Passion
OK, we can’t produce any certificates on this one but the proof for us is that our clients always comment on how we go the extra mile for them. We have clients who have worked with us for over 20 years which really says something (even thought we don’t like to boast!)
We’re also an Employee-Owned Trust and this means that we focus on celebrating the team’s achievements. And of course, passion comes through in every design that we produce.
Sustainability
We secured our ISO 14001 certification in environmental sustainability some years back and this has really guided us – we’ve recycled 40,665kg of furniture and saved over 56,000 kg of CO2 in recent times.
We aren’t going to rest on our laurels but it was great to share this across the team and to feel like we are all going in the right direction.
